Other meetings

There are many meetings throughout the course of the week aimed at various groups - from the toddlers to the elderly, from the young Christian to the mature Christian. Members of St James' are encouraged to be involved in more than the usual Sunday Services - we are very much a '7-days-a-week' church!

Monthly Prayer Meeting
We gather to pray for the ongoing work of the church, our missionaries and the world's issues. We consider this to be the most important meeting in the life of the church and therefore encourage everyone to join us. The meetings are on the second Wednesday of the month. We meet for coffee and cake at 7.30pm, before starting to pray at 8.00pm in the Upper Hall.

DIY team
The Do It Yourself team meet on a Tuesday at 7.30 to repair, re-decorate and care for the church building, carrying out various maintenance projects throughout the year. A great time for men in the church to get to know each other.

Fellowship Groups
Ladies Fellowship
This group meets on a Thursday morning at 10.00am for two hours for fellowship, to study God's Word and to pray.

Welcome Group
This group is for the new Christian and/or new members of St James'.

Evergreen
This group is for the older members of St James', and meets every Wednesday morning at 10.00am till 12.00pm in the Church Lounge. The meetings alternate weekly between a social get-together and Bible study and prayer.
