“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me” Galatians 2:20
The sermon is the focal point of all our services at St James'. We believe that God speaks to us through His Word, and that what it says is of crucial relevance to our lives. The sermons at St James' seek to explain faithfully and clearly the Bible, and to apply it to our lives.
10.30am Sunday Mornings
Children and young people (0-14 years) stay in Church for the opening part of the Service, before going to their own Sunday Club meeting. The adults remain in church for clear and relevant Bible teaching. We have occasional special services which are geared for the whole church family. Holy Communion is on the first Sunday of each month.
6.30pm Evening Service
We meet for a more informal Service, which may include testimonies and book reviews, but which at heart has the teaching of God's Word and application to our daily lives. Holy Communion is on the third Sunday.
8.30am 1662 Holy Communion
On the second Sunday of each month we have a traditional service of said Holy Communion. This is a favourite with many of the older members of the fellowship.
